"I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me."

Philippians 4:13

I’ve been singing since I was 9 years old, it seems like years ago! It was and it will always be such a privilege to share the stage with my dad Willie Botha. As my dad is also a Gospel-singer, song-writer, author and motivational speaker he’s been a big inspiration in my life.

I was born in Randfontein, South Africa in 1974. My dad likes to tease me and say I had my first live performance in our front yard with a garden hose-pipe, very funny! Later on I eventually exchanged the hose-pipe for a microphone.

In 1996 I married my amazing husband Wimpie, in 1998 my daughter Tahlita was born and in 2001 my son Wihan. Now I fully understand other moms so much better that also has boys!

As we know life is not always easy but without the Lord we are nothing. I’ve been serving Jesus my entire life and He’s the love of my life. It is Jesus that’s carried me through every trial and tribulation throughout my life; He’s always truthful to His promises.

My full time journey with my gospel–singing ministry began in 1997. It is not only my job but it is my calling in life, what a blessed privilege. I have 10 solo CD’s, 6 DVD’s, 5 Praise and worship cd's and an inspirational book for women available on the market. It is so fulfilling to bring the gospel to people at all levels and spheres of life.

The Annebel Foundation was established in 2007. I was inspired by God with the aim of helping others and reaching out to underprivileged teenage girls throughout South-Africa and making a positive difference. The Annebel Foundation provides basic hygienic products but also serves as the backbone to personal refining classes for girls and focus on improving and educating girls on personal hygiene and basic polishing and refining.

I was blessed to be able to present two programmes “Skop jou skoene uit” and “Girls met guts” on DSTV ‘s Gospel channel, as well as an inspirational radio program.

What a wonderful and blessed journey this has been so far. I can then say with a thankful heart the past 21 years I’ve had the opportunity to fully live through the gospel, not only at church services but also at woman’s functions, conferences and camps. A huge thank you to all the churches, schools and businesses – thank you for giving me the opportunity to share my God given talent and inspire people with the Word of God. What an honor to serve Jesus in my life, to Him all the glory and praise.

“I believe God uses music because – music breaks hard hearts and heals broken hearts.”
